On 12 May 2026, the Faculty of Science and Mathematics of the University of Montenegro hosted the Artificial Intelligence in Natural Sciences Lab, organised within the AI2MED project and dedicated to exploring new approaches to scientific research through the application of contemporary technological solutions.
The Lab brought together students and academic staff of the Faculty of Science and Mathematics, who jointly explored the potential of artificial intelligence and other advanced technologies across various fields of natural sciences. Particular attention was devoted to data processing and analysis, modelling of natural processes, and the development of solutions that can contribute to more efficient scientific research.
During the activity, participants developed ideas related to the application of advanced technologies in biology, chemistry, mathematics, and ecology, examining their practical value and potential use in research. Through collaboration and the exchange of experiences, they had the opportunity to explore new approaches to enhancing scientific work and research activities.
The Lab enabled students to broaden their knowledge, strengthen their research skills, and gain additional experience in projects that connect different scientific disciplines.
The activity was implemented within the AI2MED project, which aims to strengthen the capacities of higher education institutions for the application of advanced technologies in education, research, and innovation.
